Is Tony Scheffler following Brandon out the door?

Yesterday, Brandon Marshall signed his tender, this morning he was traded. Now, Tony Scheffler is going to sign his Tender, per Mike Klis. This opens up the door for Denver to trade him too.

Scheffer is from the same draft class as Marshall, Dumervil, Chris Kuper and Jay Cutler. Mike Shanahan struck in rich in the 2006 draft - as far as talent goes. But pure talent doesn't always win games, especially if you're style doesn't fit the new coaches system.

From 2007 to 2008, Scheffler caught over 100 catches for over 1,400 yards and 12 touchdowns. He also leads all Tight Ends in yards-per-reception since he entered the league. But with McDaniels his stats fell, catching only 31 passes last season, and scoring a career low only two touchdowns

He was benched in the season finale along with Marshall at the end of 2009. The Broncos reportedly want a 3rd round draft pick for him, which is not much considering his résumé. We'll keep you posted on what happens.
