Broncos trade 2011 5th round pick for 2 7th rounders in 2010

A late draft shocker as the Broncos traded next years 5th round pick to Tampa Bay for two 7th rounders this year. With the 225th pick in the draft, the Broncos select: Syd'Quan Thompson, a cornerback from Cal. The Broncos must have felt uncertain about being able to sign them as college free agents, and decided to trade back into the 7th round to grab them. Thompson is a good punt returner and he started in all 4 seasons after redshirting his first year. He was a 2008 All-Pac 10 First Team player.

With the 232nd pick in the draft, the Broncos select: Jammie Kirlew, Defensive End/Outside Linebacker, Indiana. Kirlew was named the Hoosiers most valuable player in 2008 and 2009. He is a locker room leader, and active in the community. He is not the biggest or fastest linebacker in the draft, but has a great motor and great character.
