Reviewing the Decade: Year 2009

The 2009 Denver Broncos had their Ups, and Downs. The club started 6-0, but finished 8-8. It was a heart breaking year for players, and fans. But with a new Coach, new Quarterback, new Runningback, and a new Defense, Denver did better than expected. Respected ESPN Analyst John Clayton predicted the Broncos to finish last in the AFC West at 3-13. The Broncos did far better than that, finishing second in the AFC West. But "Better than predicted" is not what the Broncos, or their fans want to see. The Broncos have finished 2nd in the AFC West almost the whole decade. Pat Bowlen will have to make some changes to get the Broncos back to their winning ways. Although it was a season to forget, there were bright spots for the Broncos in 2009;
* Denver finished the season ranked 13th in passing yards per-game.
* Denver finished the season ranked 3rd in passing yards allowed a game.
* Kyle Orton finished the season with 3,802 passing yards, and 21 touchdowns.
* Rookie back Knowshon Moreno rushed for 947 yards, and scored 9 touchdowns on the year.
* Star receiver Brandon Marshall caught 101 passes, for 1120 yards, and 10 touchdowns.

The Broncos enter 2010 with many questions, yet much optimism.
