DENVER (AP)—The trial of the man accused of killing Denver Broncos cornerback Darrent Williams is on track to begin next month with at least one former teammate scheduled to testify. Willie Clark is charged with first-degree murder in a drive-by shooting. Clark and Williams were both seen in a night club with their clicks exchanging taunts on New Year's Eve 2007. Early that morning Williams was shot dead while driving in a limo accompanied by Javon Walker.
Clark has said he was not involved in the murder, but the judge in the case says Javon Walker has been subpoenaed to testify in the case against Clark.
We have been waiting for this trial for a long time, may justice prevail.
