Got some quick updates here, and btw this is the sites 151st post! I hope there will be many more to come...
Spencer Larson is the Broncos new starting FB! In last Sunday's game Larson started over FB Peyton Hillis. Hillis was marked as "OUT" on the Injury Report, so I just assumed that Peyton was hurt. And thought that Spencer did a nice job but Hillis would be back next week, and keep playing well like he has been. But as it turned out, Hillis a missed a few practices and the game becuase his Grandmother died, and he had gone to the funeral. Our prayers, and support are with him right now. When Coach Shanahan was asked if that was the reason Larson was starting at FB, he said "no..." and that if he (Spencer Larson) can hit like he did on special teams than he can probably block LB's good as a FB. I am surprised, but this is nothing that I would not expect from Coach Shanny, who is known for doing things like this. He is right now considering moving DE Jarvis Moss to OLB in our 3-4 'D'. Larson #46 who was a linebacker in collage was drafted by the Broncos then converted to a FB, and now has the starting job.
In Injury news things are not looking the best for the Broncos. one of Jay's favorite targets (and mine on Madden :) Tony Scheffler, and starting running back Selvin Young have both been ruled out for Sundays Jag's game due to groin injuries. With Selvin out I hope to see Michael Pittman a lot more, I love that guy! Since Denver has a hard time with playing only 1 back or even 2, Peyton Hillis has a shot at getting some carries along with Andre Hall-who may just start on Sunday, though I hope the guy is Pittman. Eddie Royal who hurt is ankle is listed a probable, though he has a good chance of not playing. Ekuban is also probable with a groin injury as well.
That's about all the current Bronco news for now...
