A quick look at some of the interesting numbers from the Week 8 early games:
*Ravens rookie QB Joe Flacco had his first career reception, a 43-yard catch from backup QB Troy Smith. It marks the longest reception by a quarterback since Stats, Inc. began tracking the stat in 1991.
*
Cardinals QB Kurt Warner posted his 44th career 300-yard game, completing 35 of 49 passes for 381 yards with two touchdowns and an interception in a 27-23 loss to the Panthers.
Cowboys WR Roy Williams recorded his first career TD with Dallas, but DE DeMarcus Ware ended his NFL-record tying streak of 10 consecutive games with a sack.
*Some impressive personal numbers from the Redskins’ 25-17 win over Detroit: RB Clinton Portis rushed for 126 yards on 24 carries, joining O.J. Simpson as the only players since 1960 with two separate streaks of five-plus games with 120-plus rush yards. QB Jason Campbell had his fourth career 300-yard passing game and has not thrown an INT in 252 attempts dating back to last season. WR Santana Moss had a receiving TD and a punt return TD, the first Redskin with that distinction.
*Dolphins QB Chad Pennington had his sixth career 300-yard passing game and WR Ted Ginn his first career 100-yard receiving game in a 25-16 win over the Bills.
In a game where the Patriots had no penalties for the first time in franchise history, WR Randy Moss recorded his 58th career 100-yard receiving game (third all-time), and Rams rookie WR Donnie Avery had his first career 100-yard game.
*Andy Reid became the 37th head coach to reach 100 career wins in Philadelphia’s 27-14 win over Atlanta. He is now 10-0 in his career after a bye week. QB Donovan McNabb became the 8th QB in NFL history with 3,000 career rushing yards. … Falcons WR Roddy White had his third straight game with 100-plus yards and at least one TD.
