Did Orton Trade Fall Through? Miami's Backing Off

Broncos starting quarterback Kyle Orton appears to be staying put in Denver.

Multiple sources had been reporting that Denver and the Miami Dolphins were in serious trade talks regarding Orton and that a trade was likely, which no longer appears to be the case. Presumably, the Broncos were asking for a higher draft pick than Miami was willing to surrender.

The Dolphins are now in the midst of signing former Carolina Panther quarterback Matt Moore, according to Aaron Fentress of The Oregonian. Moore will compete with Dolphins quarterback Chad Henne in Miami for the starting gig, eliminating the need to acquire Orton.
