More On The Game:

Another thriller in Denver this week. Last week against Dallas Denver went down 10-0, this week vs Boston (New England) they went down 10-0 early as well. Wes Welker was all over us, catching 8 passes for 86 yards and a touchdown. But much like last week Denver rallied back for a win. The Defense stiffened up, only allowing one score in the second half. Kyle Orton looked (pretty) good, tossing to Brandon 8 times got him 64 of Orton's 330 yards, he also hauled in his two touchdown passes. While Knowshon Moreno added 88 yards on the ground, and caught 36 yards out of the backfield. Eddie Royal was an unsung hero of the game, he didn't get scores like Brandon, but he caught 10 passes for 90 yards. I continue to be impressed by his perfect route running. As a rookie I thought he was close to the best, I'm baffled to find he's gotten even better than last year! D.J. Williams had 8 tackles, Dawkins added 5 and 2 assits, while Vonnie Holliday got his second sack of the year. At times the pass coverage looked a little poor, and all day Brady had tons of time, fortunately, the defense only allowed 17 points, although they allowed 305 yards, our defense did well considering who they played. Our offense racked up 424 net yards, and 27 first downs! Orton also led a 98-yard-drive that tied the game at 17. The Denver Broncos are 5-0, last time they were was 1998, when they won the Super Bowl. Next week the Broncos travel to San Diego, for an important division game. Yes the Broncos are real, but they also had some Miscues: Special teams had back to back penalties after would have been Patriot punts. Matt Pratter missed a field goal. Orton did a last second hail marry before halftime that was intercepted by Randy Moss. That's not a big deal, but he did have many passes that were very 'AAAAH! Orton you dummy!' But any QB that throws 48 times will have some mess ups. Orton was also sacked twice. We also had some holding and other penalties. But overall the team played very well. I was disappointed how little we used Peyton Hillis, hope he gets more action this season. No matter how it happened, the Broncos moved to 5-0! Go Broncos!!! View More Photos on our facebook page!
