Wednesday's practice showed good, and not so good. Tony Scheffler was good, and should be fine Sunday. Champ, who eyed his return from a groin injury to be on Sunday, did not practice. Selvin Young did not either. But Tatum Bell did, and Mike Shanahan said this about him:
“No, Tatum has played well when he has played here. He has averaged around five yards [per carry] and when you take a look at his production it kind of gives you an idea of how successful he has been as a running back. Obviously we needed somebody that is familiar with our system and our terminology. I don’t think he’s in great football shape yet, but hopefully in a short time he will be.”
