Walking around the facilities in street clothes, the 5-foot-11 Young seems to always have a smile on his face, ready to talk and joke with anyone willing to do it.
But when he straps on his helmet and jogs out onto the field, it's a whole other story. Stiff-arms to the face. Jukes so bad your cleats might go one way and your ankles the other. Most of all, speed that will leave you wondering why your face is in the dirt and his is on the big screen, standing in the endzone. And there's that smile again.
"Setting your mind to something and accomplishing it after putting so much work into it is a great feeling," Young said of last season. "To be able to go start over and put more on myself and demand more goals and to be able to accomplish that this season would be a plus for me. Hopefully it will help me grow and become a complete NFL back."
