Some 'D' In Denver

The Broncos defense is second in pass yards allowed, and it has only allowed 1 touchdown. They are first in yards-per-game, and with 5 INT's, and 10 sacks, the Broncos are looking like the Orange Crush. The average pass completion against Denver is 5.5 yards! And the Crush has allowed only 644 total yards (compare to our 1123). These are some nice stats. The arrival of Brian Dawkins has helped, and Mike Nolan plays a large part as well. But new-comers are not all that's on the 'D' side of the ball. End Kenny Peterson, DB Champ Bailey, LB/DE Elivs Dumervil, and D.J. Williams all played last year. But the team did not mesh together like this year. Nose Tackle Roland Fields, and End Ryan McBean are a nice pare to go along with Peterson. While backers, Andre Davis, Williams, Haggan, Wesley Woodyard, and Doom fit perfect backing up the front 3. And our secondary should get some love, Goodman, and Hill each picked of Jamarcus last week, and we all know about Champ and Dawkins. If not for good coverage Elvis would not have 6 sacks. Head Coach McDaniels gave the 'D' some love:
"[The defense is] playing terrifically. We are playing fundamental football, and we are trying to do it for four quarters. . . . Just a total team effort, and the defense certainly played a big part of it."

It is only week 4, but if they continue like this against Dallas no one could doubt the Orange Crush is back. One thing that could the Broncos on Sunday is the Cowboys beat up backfield.
