Going into the ,08 season many expect Selvin Young(#35) to be the starter. Recently signed Michael Pittman(#32) will most likely be seen on short yardage runs and third downs with his "power" runing style. If Young becomes the Broncos first string back he may be sharing his carries with rookie R. Torain
. Coach Shanahan is known for making no-name backs into 1,000 rushers. Mike Anderson or Rubin Droungs anyone? Clinton Portis was not to well known before his rookie '02 season with Denver. (Ryan Torain right)
But let us not forget second year back Andre Hall.(#23) He showed great speed and power in the Titans game last year when Herny was out and Young went down he went in and scored a 60yrd. TD right off the bat. In his first start against the Bears last year Hall had 98 yards on 23 runs, a touchdwon and seven first downs.
I am putting my money on Selvin to be our next 1,000+ back, but those other guys have a good shot.
