As we continue to celebrate 5o years of Denver Broncos football, here is today's Bronco fun fact:
Rod Smith set a club record for catches in a season when he had 113 grabs in 2001. It was the second consecutive season that he reached the century mark.

Marshall made mistakes, and does not have the best character of all the receivers in the NFL. But can't the media just move on from that! Listen Bronco fans, the Sports media is trying to make stories out of nothing -- it's there job! Ok, "Marshall did not play hardly at all in the first two games' second half's." Why? Don't listen to media, McDaniels is proving a point, writers are saying he still does not know they playbook, Marshall says:

"I'm comfortable with the playbook; the past two games I made two mistakes, that happens, but you want to correct those where you don't make a mistake at all. I made two mistakes in two games; I did that last year in the last offense. (I) just made the mistakes, but that's the past and hopefully I can go out this week against the Raiders and be mistake-free."

There you have it folks, Brandon dropped a pass, missed a block whatever, you can always get better. Of course he's not perfect, just lay off, okay. Marshall only has like 7 catches in two games, and no TD's but the fact is he never was a touchdown machine. In his Pro Bowl season he had 6 TD grabs. The Marshall playing time, and productiveness is not really a story. Here is a story; Broncos offense ranks 8th in the league in yards. The Broncos offense is the only unit in the league yet to commit a turnover. And Orton is the only quarterback in the NFL with at least 50 attempts and no interceptions. (Thanks BT.) And our 'D' has only allowed 13 points in two games. I often wonder why we don't hear about that stuff on ESPN? Another quote from Brandon that maybe will put you more at ease:

". . . (The media) ask questions from a month ago; that's the past. We're 2-0, the fans are happy, the players are happy, the coaches are happy, everybody's happy, every Denver Bronco fan is happy right now and I'm the same. A lot of good comes when you're winning."

4 Things To Watch Sunday

1) Ryan Clady and Ryan Harris along with the rest of the O-line, vs. Raiders D-line. Denver's line has allowed 3 sacks, and the Raiders 'D' has 5. Should be a close match.

2) Knowshon Moreno vs. Raiders 'D'. Moreno only has a 3.8 average, but he showed lot's in the Browns game, he didn't get 100 yards, or even score. But he wore down the defense for Buckhalter and showed some nice moves and power. The Raiders 'D' looks much better, so keep an eye on this match-up.

3) Raiders 'O' line vs. DOOM! Coming of a 4 sack game the NFL know's Elvis Dumervil fits 3-4. Now, can the Raiders keep him from being the Broncos' Demarcus Ware against the Raiders? That's a good question. Another match-up is the LB's vs. the Raider backs, keep an eye on those things in week 3.

4) Nnamdi vs. Broncos Wide-Outs, and when I say wide I mean WIDE OPEN. Last week against the Browns Eddie Royal toasted the Browns DB's with sick routes. Nnamdi was full participation at the Raiders practice today, so he'll be playing. But so will our hot recievers. The Broncos WR's and Raiders DB's will be a huge thing to keep an eye on.
